VHM seeks work planner.
And you come to do what you love.

You set things in motion by being in control yourself.

There is a moment when a machine is still an idea. And there is the moment when a working powerhouse leaves the factory here. And somewhere between concept, drawing and steel is that crucial moment when it has to be right. Where logic, sequence and manufacturability come together.

As a Work Planner, you make sure that an idea becomes buildable. You connect design and implementation and make it clear to everyone what is intended. Because of your work, the whole team can build without fuss.

About VHM

We go fast. As a down-to-earth club of machine builders from Ens, we build machines that are so logical that you wonder why things were ever done differently. Solutions with which we help the agri-food chain to do more, with the same people. Smart where necessary, simple where possible, always solid. And one step better every week, because it is never finished.

In the middle of our bustling plant is one place where everything comes together: the heart of our Work Foreman. A place for a Work Supervisor who keeps a sharp eye on the process, sees what is right, knows what is missing and does what is necessary. Because if your work is right, the whole plant can keep going.

What you do:

You are the go-to expert and source of knowledge for our manufacturing process: everything we conceive in the system and bring to life on the shop floor;
You set up making parts and (sub)orders for construction and assembly.
You manage routings, resources, and lead times in our production dashboard;
You identify bottlenecks in capacity, logistics, or manufacturability before they become critical;
You’ll help create a smooth workflow: minimal turnaround time, maximum predictability. VC/NC with no surprises;
You secure feedback from the workshop directly into the source: parts lists, drawings, make parts.

Where you add even more value:

You have an eye for working smarter and know how to set that up (Lean, Kanban, QRM, VHM?). What works: that’s what works;
You see the system as a whole and know which button has what effect;
You implement improvements that ensure we get things right the first time and keep working efficiently;
You contribute to the engineering process and translate ideas into feasible, logical production routes;
You show how collaboration works at VHM. You actively seek alignment, connect system and shop floor and ensure that improvements are carried together.

What we expect from you:

HBO-level work and thinking skills (WTB, TBK, or equivalent);
At least 3 years of experience as a production planner or manufacturing engineer;
Knowledge of machining, welding, sheet metal work, and assembly;
Experience with lean/5S/SMED is a nice bonus.
And above all: keeping calm, seeing connections, shifting gears, prioritizing.

What to expect from VHM:

A position on a young team full of professionals, tech experts, and creative thinkers;
Impact and visibility: You’ll see the results of your choices right away on the floor;
Direct communication with the people who build, make decisions, and want to move forward;
Room to grow: continuing to improve both yourself and VHM. It’s a never-ending process;
A quirky and energetic culture: craftsmanship with a touch of adventure.

Still a student, but secretly prefer to roll up your sleeves and get to work?

Do you often come home with black hands because you spent some time tinkering with your motorcycle? Or because that go-kart just had to run a little better? That sounds familiar to us. At VHM, we love working with people who are curious about how things work. Would you like to make that your career? Get to know VHM from the inside out, help build our orange machines, and learn the trade of a production planner on the job. You’ll be enrolled in a dual higher professional education program: you’ll spend four days working on the shop floor and one day attending school.
So. Ready to build the most beautiful machines?
We’d love to hear why you’re sure you’re a good fit for us. We look forward to hearing your story. Tell us about it: droombaan@vhm-machinery.com or call Edwin at 06-86840025.

We are looking for colleagues, not candidates.
We appreciate initiative, but not in the form of acquisition. We regard a resume sent to us unsolicited as a direct application from the candidate himself.
