At your job at VHM you do. As purchasing manager, you make sure it’s right. Not just today, but with an eye on tomorrow and beyond. You build a procurement structure that grows with VHM. Smarter, clearer and increasingly predictable. You make choices that go beyond ordering alone. Which suppliers suit us? What do we standardize? What do we build on? And how do we ensure that our processes help us, rather than the other way around?

You are at the center of our multifaceted manufacturing process, working with engineering, work preparation and production. But when it comes to purchasing, you set the lines. So that our makers can do what they do best: build fantastic machines.

About VHM

VHM is a down-to-earth club of machine builders from Ens. We build solutions that make you wonder why they haven’t been thought of before. What you do:

You will develop and monitor the procurement strategy appropriate to our growth and business strategy.
You make supplier choices and build sustainable partnerships.
You provide structure and predictability in availability of parts.
You identify early, adjust and prevent hassles before they arise.
You standardize where possible and hold space where necessary.
You take a critical look at processes and make strides in automation and simplification.
You interact daily with engineering, work preparation and production.
And yes. If necessary, you also just pick up something yourself. Keeping an overview sometimes also means taking action.

You ensure that procurement moves along from operational to tactical level.

What we expect from you:

You quickly oversee the bigger picture and derive energy from connecting shop floor and suppliers, strategy and practice.
HBO work and thinking level, preferably towards Technical Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar.
Several years of procurement experience in a technical environment. Mechanical engineering is an advantage.
You have a sense of structure, systems and process improvement. Simple and clear. Get the process right first, then the tool.
Strong and proactive in analyzing, negotiating and collaborating.
